About

After careening my way through a life of profligate iniquity for my first 35 or so years on this planet, I converted to Catholicism (baptized in 2014) and have settled into a life of writing and vestment-making. It might sound boring to you, but from where I’m sitting, it looks an awful lot like living the dream. The story of my transformation from San Francisco’s #1 rated “elite” call girl into the nice Catholic lady I am now (more or less) can be read in Patrick Madrid’s book Surprised By Life–I used the pen name AnneMarie Schreiber for that project.

I currently work for Live Action as a Staff Writer and Researcher. I also co-run a small vestments manufacturing business, In Gloria Dei Textiles, in partnership with a close friend. I attend a Melkite rite parish, St. Elias in Los Gatos, California–if you are a Roman Catholic and you have never explored the Eastern rites, I cannot recommend strongly enough that you give them a try.

The name of my blog is a reference to Hosea 8:7: “For they shall sow wind, and reap a whirlwind…” This ol’ world has been sowing wind for an awfully long time–it seems to me that our current culture may very well be the whirlwind harvest.
